San Martin de los Andes, like so many resorts in Argentina is situated next to a Lake and the
surrounding scenery is stunning.
This is a very family friendly resort, with over 150 ski instructors to ensure that there are
enough to go round. The village of San Martin is very pretty and is about half an hours drive
from the resort of Chapelco. Buses run on a fairly regular basis, and so getting back to your
hotel is not a problem. Chapelco can also keep the touring skier entertained, with the most
challenging tour being the scaling of the Lanin Volcano which towers above the surrounding
mountains.
